Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Nyrkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauri Nyrkki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Nyrkki darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rose. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Rose goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nyrkki has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rose but great work by Nyrkki.

Rose closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rose postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Rose is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nyrkki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
