Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mad Panda (ranked 2357 p4p, 2102 weight class) and Chrissy Moltisanti (ranked 190 p4p, 172 weight class). Chrissy Moltisanti has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mad Panda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chrissy Moltisanti!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moltisanti.
Moltisanti throws a lazy right hand but Panda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Panda slips under a jab from Moltisanti.
Panda looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Panda stays in close to Moltisanti's body and controls the position.
Panda might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Panda has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moltisanti is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Panda presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Moltisanti has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Panda tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Moltisanti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Moltisanti throws a hook to the side of Panda's head but Panda sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Moltisanti throws out a loose jab but Panda uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Panda counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Moltisanti wants to stand back up but Panda manages to pass into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Panda tries to move into full mount but can't pass Moltisanti's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panda wants to control but Moltisanti is keeping him busy.
Moltisanti is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Moltisanti is trying to escape back to his feet but Panda uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Moltisanti might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Panda shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moltisanti manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Panda manages to capitalize on a mistake by Moltisanti to take his back!
What can Moltisanti do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Moltisanti is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Panda here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Moltisanti sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Moltisanti makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moltisanti.
