Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Bullard (ranked 753 p4p, 1012 weight class) and Stan Man (ranked 63 p4p, 75 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buzz Bullard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Stan Man!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man walks into a straight right hand from Bullard.
Man takes one to the side of the head.
Man dives in and grabs Bullard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bullard pushes down on Man's head and hops out.
Bullard connects with a body shot that sends Man's belly button to the back.
Bullard lands a right hook to the body.
Bullard lands the left hand.
Good exchange - Bullard coming out on top.
Bullard misses with a head kick.
Bullard lands with a nice body punch.
Bullard has a takedown stuffed.
Bullard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Man needs to keep his hands up - Bullard had a free shot at his head there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Man manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bullard on his heels. He'll look to pass Bullard's guard now, I'm sure.

Bullard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Man can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bullard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Man throws a big elbow that misses.

Bullard looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bullard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Man takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Man prevents Bullard from improving his position.

Man wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bullard keeps working.
Bullard has hold of Man's hands but Man slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Man tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bullard manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bullard is looking to control Man's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bullard avoid being mounted?

Bullard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Man pulls his head out easily.
Man winds up and cracks Bullard with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Man connects with a nice short shot to Bullard's temple.

Man lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Man is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Man tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bullard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Man wants to control but Bullard is keeping him busy.

Man is trying to control. Bullard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Stan Man will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Nice uppercut there from Bullard.
Man with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bullard to score with a decent uppercut.
A right-left combo lands from Bullard.
Bullard misses with a takedown attempt - Man sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bullard throws a shot to the body.
Man dives in and grabs Bullard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bullard pushes down on Man's head and hops out.
Man takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bullard, as that shot connected.
Man avoids the body shot from Bullard.
Bullard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bullard getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bullard cracks Man with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bullard misses with a head kick.
Buzz Bullard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Man closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bullard did well to prevent Man getting side control.
Bullard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Man can do to turn this around?

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Man's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Our spies down at at London MMA Club inform us that Man has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A decent looking cross lands there for Bullard.
Man shoots in looking for a takedown but Bullard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Man's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Man takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Man moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Bullard scores with a sloppy right hand. Man should have avoided that one.
Man takes a body punch but keeps moving.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Buzz Bullard dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Man walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Man shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Man showed some decent athleticism there.
Man is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Man got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bullard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Man has managed to get both his arms back between Bullard's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bullard lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Man wants to stand up but Bullard is controlling him.
Bullard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Man swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bullard throws a strike but Man rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Man must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bullard has momentary wrist control but Man slips an elbow through the middle.

Bullard looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Man has picked Bullard up and slammed him! Bullard can't keep hold of the triangle and Man manages to pass to side control!

Man thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I think Man has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
