The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo is looking to clinch but Pitt is avoiding it.
Kongo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Kingo Kongo has been cut.
Kongo tries to clinch up but Pitt circles away and keeps his distance.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kongo pushes Pitt up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Kongo.
Kongo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Pitt wants to stall.
Pitt lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Pitt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pitt tries to keep at a distance but Kongo has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kongo tries to land knees in the clinch but Pitt avoids the damage to the body.
Pitt wants to get back to striking at distance but Kongo won't allow it.
Kongo misses with a knee to the head.
Kongo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pitt avoids it.

It looks like Dirk Pitt has been cut.
Pitt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kongo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dirk Pitt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kongo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pitt paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pitt sends Kongo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pitt is motioning to the referee to let Kongo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That has opened up Kingo Kongo's cut even more.
Pitt lands with a right and another and another! Kongo is in big trouble! Pitt lands again and this time it's lights out for Kongo! A quality knockout there for Pitt.
