The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.

Ottke looking to score a takedown here. Johnson is defending well but Ottke drives through and ends up in Johnson's guard.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ottke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ottke has picked Johnson up and slammed him! Johnson can't keep hold of the triangle and Ottke manages to pass to side control!

The referee asks Ottke politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ottke prefers to stall for the moment though.

Ottke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Johnson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Ottke is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ottke in particular looking to stall.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ottke passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnson!

Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Ottke's attempts to control the action.
Johnson wants to hold on but Ottke pushes him away.
Ottke tries to take his opponent's back but Johnson turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.

Johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ottke manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Ottke in his guard.

Johnson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Ottke throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Johnson's body to avoid the submission. Johnson has instead reached around Ottke's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Johnson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Drake Johnson!
Drake Johnson is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Drake Johnson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
