Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thor White!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a jab when Azul was well out of range.
Azul seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
White looks to land a left hand but Azul moved out of range nicely.
Azul takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nice jab there from White.
Azul on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
White jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Azul uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from White.
Azul takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that White has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A low kick from Azul is predictable there

and White counters with a nice right hand that sends Azul toppling to the canvas! Azul scrambles and gets back to his feet - can White finish him?!

and Azul counters with a nice uppercut.
White swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Azul throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

White lands a really nice looking cross but Azul seems unphased.

Thor White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Azul swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

White throws out a counter right but Azul avoids it with no problem.

Oh Azul is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

White dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Azul counters with an outside leg kick.
Azul throws a half hearted mid kick.

White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
White looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Azul tries a head kick but it misses.
Azul avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Azul half committed to a counter leg kick.
White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Azul was well out of range. Poor timing from White.
Azul moves forwards but White connects with a nice, crisp jab.
White cracks Azul with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Nice straight punches there by White. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of White.

and Azul counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Azul has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Azul there as he acknowledges the shot.

White cracks Azul with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Azul looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can White finish him?
Azul throws a leg kick which misses White's front leg but catches the back leg as White tries to avoid it.
White has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Azul takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Thor White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
White throws a body punch but Azul moves out of range.
White loads up on a big right hand but Azul slips the punch.
White is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Azul.
White misses with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Azul walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Azul lands a jab to the head.
White looks to throw the jab but Azul is out of range.

Azul throws a leg kick but White moved away.
Azul misses with an uppercut.
A nice side step and White releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
White moves out of range of the body kick.
Azul throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting White counter with a right hand.
White rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Azul moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
White is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Azul.
The fighters circling - Azul throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
White is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Azul had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
White on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Thor White has been cut.

Azul closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into White's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

White looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Azul has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
White has momentary wrist control but Azul slips an elbow through the middle.
White is pulling down on Azul's head. It's preventing any offense from Azul, at least for the moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Thor White seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
