Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Biden (ranked 3704 p4p, 4737 weight class) and Franz Nicholas (ranked 413 p4p, 466 weight class). Joe Biden had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 267.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Biden closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nicholas quickly recovers to half guard.
Nicholas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Nicholas lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Biden throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nicholas was covering up waiting for the punch and Biden finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nicholas is working an open guard so Biden takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nicholas cracks Biden with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nicholas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Biden at a distance.
Biden uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nicholas.
Nicholas connects with a crisp jab.

and Nicholas counters with a nice right hand that sends Biden toppling to the canvas! Biden scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nicholas finish him?!

It looks like Joe Biden has been cut.
Biden is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big right from Nicholas misses.
Biden leaves his chin hanging out and Nicholas seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Biden crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
