Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ferenc Fazekas (ranked 1682 p4p, 1410 weight class) and Jed Hall (ranked 195 p4p, 161 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ferenc Fazekas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jed Hall!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fazekas throws a big shot that misses.
Hall bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fazekas.
Hall is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Fazekas lands a nice looking body shot.
Fazekas moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fazekas misses with a looping left.
Hall with the counter takedown but Fazekas avoids it easily.
Hall throws out a loose jab but Fazekas uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fazekas loads up on a big right hand but Hall slips the punch.
Hall throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hall scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hall lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hall throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fazekas sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hall swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Fazekas throws out a loose jab but Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hall feints the counter takedown.
Ferenc Fazekas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hall drives through with a takedown into Fazekas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fazekas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fazekas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hall throws a strike but Fazekas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fazekas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fazekas wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.
Fazekas controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Hall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fazekas manages to get himself to full guard.

Fazekas is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Hall in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Fazekas trying to keep a closed guard but Hall is proving a slippery customer.
Fazekas pulls Hall in to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Hall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fazekas won't be happy with that.

Fazekas is trying to improve his position.
Fazekas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hall off and has taken his back!
Hall looking very determined here, making life difficult for Fazekas.
Fazekas has the hooks in. Hall is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Fazekas wants to control but Hall is keeping busy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jed Hall will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hall uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fazekas.
Hall throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fazekas throws a jab but it's blocked by Hall.
Hall looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ferenc Fazekas is winning the standup battle so far.
Hall dodges the punch combination from Fazekas.
Hall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hall throws a looping overhand right but Fazekas ducks down to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Hall counters with a single leg into guard. Fazekas didn't expect that.
Hall is standing up over Fazekas. Fazekas looks to escape but Hall dives into side control.
Fazekas is looking for a sweep.

Hall throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Fazekas works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Fazekas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hall throwing strikes from guard but Fazekas blocks nicely.
Hall looking to sit in guard and control but Fazekas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fazekas wants to hit a sweep here but Hall passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fazekas there!

Fazekas bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hall is on top in guard.

Fazekas looking for a sweep. Not yet Fazekas, not yet.
Hall is looking to work some ground and pound but Fazekas has wrist control.
Hall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hall in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hall landing some decent shots from guard.
Hall throws an elbow that misses. Fazekas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hall's guard. Nice move by Fazekas!

Hall wants to sweep here but Fazekas controlling him for the moment.
Hall keeping moving, preventing Fazekas from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ferenc Fazekas will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fazekas is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Hall changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Hall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fazekas won't be happy with that.
Fazekas bucks up and tries to throw Hall off but instead Hall has got his back!
Hall is trying to stick to Fazekas's back but Fazekas is turning into Hall. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hall's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fazekas.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fazekas passes Hall's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fazekas is looking to advance position but Hall won't allow it.

Fazekas is working hard here to advance position.
Fazekas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Fazekas stalling away here and it's allowed Hall to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fazekas is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hall controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hall has a takedown stuffed.
Fazekas looks to land a left hand but Hall moved out of range nicely.
Hall connects with a body shot.
Hall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fazekas misses with a body shot.
Hall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Fazekas throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hall scores with a hook to the body. Fazekas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hall slips under a jab from Fazekas.
Hall shoots for a takedown but Fazekas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fazekas misses with a kick to the body.
Fazekas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Both fighters circling a little - Fazekas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Hall misses with a jab to the body
and Fazekas counters with a stiff right hand.
Fazekas takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hall takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Hall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hall drops his hands momentarily and Fazekas takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ferenc Fazekas showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Fazekas has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
