Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Jones (ranked 3232 p4p, 3791 weight class) and Simon Adebisi (ranked 393 p4p, 445 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Adebisi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones lands a right hand that snaps the head of Adebisi backwards.
Jones tries to throw a body punch but Adebisi avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage.
Adebisi pushes Jones back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Adebisi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Adebisi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Adebisi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

And Adebisi tries to counter it with a takedown but Jones pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Adebisi closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Adebisi pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Adebisi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jones swings for the body but Adebisi moves out of range.
Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Adebisi.
Good exchange - Jones coming out on top.
Samuel Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Adebisi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Adebisi getting side control.

Jones wants to sweep here but Adebisi controlling him for the moment.

Adebisi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
