PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mountain Beast (ranked 3922 p4p, 4495 weight class) and Randy Suico (ranked 0 p4p, 176 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Randy Suico was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Suico is fending him off so far but Beast persists. Nope, Suico circles away and we're back to standing.
Beast shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Suico as he jumps to the side.
Suico bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Beast's head.
Nice uppercut lands for Suico. That snapped Beast's head back.

It looks like Mountain Beast has been cut.
Beast takes one to the side of the head.
Suico throws out a powerful jab.
Suico uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Beast has time to react.
Suico lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Beast.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mountain Beast. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Beast changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Suico tries to avoid it but Beast manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Suico to the ground. Suico escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Beast shoots in looking for a takedown but Suico manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beast's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Suico sizes up Beast with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mountain Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Suico lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Oh Beast is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Beast shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Beast seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suico is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Beast's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Beast's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suico wants to control but Beast is keeping busy.
Beast can't escape the position.

Beast breaks Suico's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Suico wants to stand and escape but Beast is having none of it.

Suico is rocked!
Beast gets to his feet and stands over Suico, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Suico felt that one! Beast unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Suico from any more punishment!

Mountain Beast tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
