PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Jensen (ranked 4417 p4p, 4342 weight class) and Sean Falco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falco comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shatter- Code Orange kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sean Falco!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falco throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jensen misses with a head kick.
A head kick by Falco misses
and Jensen counters with a series of strikes. Falco will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jensen moves into the clinch.
Falco working hard to break the clinch.

Falco has hold of one of Jensen's legs. Jensen is fighting the takedown attempt but Falco gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jensen manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Falco fails with a takedown attempt.
Falco misses with a takedown attempt - Jensen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Falco throws a series of punches but Jensen moves out of range.
Jensen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Falco throws a combination. Jensen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jensen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Falco throws out a counter right but Jensen avoids it with no problem.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Falco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jensen wants to control from the top but Falco keeps moving.
Jensen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jensen trying to control but Falco is working from the bottom.
Jensen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jensen wants to control from the top but Falco keeps moving.
Falco is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jensen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jensen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Falco tries to bench press Jensen off him but Jensen keeps the position.
Falco keeps trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jensen trying to control the action but Falco is working from the bottom.
Falco manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Falco is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jensen trying to control but Falco postures up.
Jensen is trying to control but Falco manages to pass to mount!
Falco raining down hammerfists from mount.

Falco controlling the pace for now.
Jensen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jensen wants to hold on but Falco pushes him away.
Falco tries to control but Jensen wriggling away.
Jensen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Falco breaks from Jensen's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Falco working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sean Falco will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Falco drives through with a takedown into Jensen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jensen scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jensen gets a takedown into half guard.
Jensen is thwarting Falco's attempts to control the position.
Falco moves into full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Falco will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Falco managing to control the position.
Falco is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jensen stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Falco has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Jensen manages to get his head free but now Falco has transitioned to an armbar! Jensen grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Falco! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sean Falco!
In his post fight interview, Sean Falco started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
