This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 62 wins and 33 losses; Moldy Jello! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 19 wins and 20 losses; Strega Notturna!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Notturna is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jello sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Notturna shoots in looking for a takedown but Jello manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Notturna's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've been hearing good reports from Jello's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Notturna is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jello defends well.
Notturna looking for subs off his back but Jello has passed one foot through into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Notturna has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jello is working away from the top position though.

Jello is pressing down on Notturna's thigh, looking to free his foot. Notturna is holding on for now.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Notturna looking for the choke but no joy.
Jello fending off the submission attempt from Notturna.
Notturna is looking for the choke from the back position but Jello is controlling his hands well.
Notturna is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jello has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Jello is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Notturna gets his way!

Notturna wants to get back to full guard.
Jello seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Notturna does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jello is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Notturna has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jello is looking to defend but Notturna has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jello! Notturna pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jello taps out and this one is all over!
