Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Treacherous Cockatiel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clifford Price!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cockatiel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cockatiel showed some decent athleticism there.
Cockatiel wants to pass to mount but Price is defending the position.
Cockatiel thows a huge punch but Price dodges it nicely.
Cockatiel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cockatiel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Price defends it well.
Ground and pound from Cockatiel.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cockatiel trying to mount his opponent but Price defends it.
Price really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cockatiel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Price tries to kick Cockatiel off but Cockatiel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Price avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cockatiel.
Cockatiel trying to control from Price's half guard. Price has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Cockatiel is pushing down on Price's leg trying to pass to half guard. Price is fighting to maintain full guard but Cockatiel has managed to sneak the leg through.
Price blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cockatiel.
Cockatiel wants to take a breather but Price is having none of it.
Cockatiel throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cockatiel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Cockatiel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Price defends it well.
Price is trying to stand back up but Cockatiel is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cockatiel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Price sees it coming and defends easily.
Cockatiel trying to pass the guard but Price defending well.
Price looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Price is staying active underneath Cockatiel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Cockatiel shoots in and gets a takedown into Price's guard.
Price keeping moving, preventing Cockatiel from controlling successfully.
Price wants to stand and escape but Cockatiel is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cockatiel postures up and lands a big shot to Price's brow.
Cockatiel tries to free his leg and advance position but Price is retaining full guard.
Cockatiel throws a strike but Price rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Cockatiel wants to control but Price passes easily into half guard.
Cockatiel wants to get back to full guard.
Cockatiel manages to get to full guard.
Cockatiel tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cockatiel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cockatiel throwing shots but Price is blocking nicely.
Cockatiel missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Price pushes Cockatiel off looking to stand but Cockatiel dives back in and keeps control.
Cockatiel wants to control but Price is keeping him busy.
Cockatiel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cockatiel is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Price wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cockatiel.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Price holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cockatiel tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Treacherous Cockatiel dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Price slaps away a takedown attempt from Cockatiel, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It seemed like Price was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Clifford Price has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cockatiel shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Price takes a swing at Cockatiel's ribcage but misses.
Price just misses with a punch to the body.
Price tries to clinch but Cockatiel is having none of it.
Clifford Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice shot lands for Price.

Cockatiel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cockatiel lands in his opponent's guard.
Price wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cockatiel manages to pass to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.


Cockatiel in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Price tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cockatiel!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Treacherous Cockatiel!
Our winner, Treacherous Cockatiel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
