Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Lavender!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kemp Dennis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennis throws a front kick aimed at Lavender's knee but Lavender avoids it well.
Donk. Lavender catches Dennis right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Kemp Dennis has been cut.
Lavender bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dennis's head.
Dennis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lavender makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Lavender scores with a one two! Dennis had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lavender looks to land a left hand but Dennis moved out of range nicely.
Dennis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lavender keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dennis.
Lavender cracks Dennis on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Dennis falls backwards against the cage. Lavender follows up with more strikes that drop Dennis to his knees. Lavender keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Dennis! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benny Lavender!
