The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puma tests Singleton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Singleton needs to keep his hands up - Puma had a free shot at his head there.

Puma lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Tubbs Singleton has been cut.
Puma takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It seemed like Singleton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Nice uppercut lands for Puma. That snapped Singleton's head back.

Singleton throws a lazy right hand but Puma sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Puma connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Singleton's hands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Singleton cracks Puma with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Singleton has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Puma to stand back up!
Puma throws a shot from downtown. Singleton moves away and avoids it.
Puma is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Singleton.

Singleton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Singleton drops Puma with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Puma looks back up at him and smiles so Singleton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

After winning the bout, Tubbs Singleton thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
