Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flores is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lazee - im not pop . Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martinez shoots in and bounces Flores off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Martinez tries to free his leg and advance position but Flores is retaining full guard.

Martinez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Martinez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Flores is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Flores has escaped and now he's on top!

Flores passes the guard and advances to mount!

Martinez wants to control but Flores is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Flores is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Martinez is just riding it out for now. Flores eventually gives up the hold.

Flores tries to clinch but Martinez moves out of range.

Martinez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Flores as he jumps to the side.

Martinez cracks Flores with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It looks like Carlos Flores has been cut.

Martinez goes for an armbar but Flores turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Flores.

Martinez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Flores drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Martinez dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
