PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elo Mnusk (ranked 2228 p4p, 4016 weight class) and Slava Fedorov (ranked 353 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Elo Mnusk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slava Fedorov!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A combination from Fedorov does no damage.
Mnusk swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Mnusk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fedorov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mnusk thows a left - swing and a miss!
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fedorov! But no joy.
Mnusk throws a big shot that misses.
Mnusk dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fedorov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mnusk.
Fedorov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mnusk manages to avoid it.
Mnusk scores with a hook to the body. Fedorov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
No joy there for Fedorov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fedorov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fedorov fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mnusk darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mnusk connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fedorov. Fedorov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mnusk misses with a jab to the body
and Fedorov counters with a left to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mnusk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fedorov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fedorov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Mnusk ducks under a wild hook from Fedorov.
A counter left hand to the body from Mnusk misses its target.
Fedorov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fedorov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mnusk.
Fedorov misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mnusk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mnusk batters Fedorov with a massive right followed by a huge left! Fedorov is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Mnusk lands a final crushing right hand to drop Fedorov to the mat with a gruesome thud! Mnusk is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Elo Mnusk!
