Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sumi Gaeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augusto comes to the cage accompanied by adu-kein scherz. Gaeshi has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. Sumi Gaeshi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fernando Augusto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Sumi Gaeshi!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augusto throws a right hand that Gaeshi ducks under and follows up with a left that Gaeshi also avoids with ease.
Augusto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gaeshi as he avoids it easily.
Gaeshi throws a nice inside leg kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Gaeshi as he connects with a hook.
Gaeshi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Augusto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gaeshi tries to avoid it but Augusto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gaeshi to the ground. Gaeshi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gaeshi misses with a series of wild punches.
Gaeshi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Augusto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gaeshi wants to get back to his feet.
Augusto prevents Gaeshi from improving his position.
Gaeshi flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gaeshi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gaeshi kicks off Augusto and gets to his feet.
Augusto moves out of range of the body kick.
Gaeshi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Augusto.

A head kick misses from Gaeshi.
Gaeshi misses with a head kick.
Gaeshi throws a series of punches but Augusto moves out of range.
Gaeshi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gaeshi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Augusto is working hard here to advance position.
Gaeshi thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Gaeshi has hold of Augusto's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Augusto manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Augusto manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Ground and pound from Gaeshi.

Augusto gets full guard.
Augusto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gaeshi's guard.
Augusto passes Gaeshi's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gaeshi tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Augusto manages to move to mount!
Gaeshi looks gassed!
Gaeshi is trying to escape the mount.
Augusto lands a heavy elbow.
Augusto forces the positional change into back control.
Augusto has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gaeshi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Augusto is trying to stick to Gaeshi's back but Gaeshi is turning into Augusto. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Augusto's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gaeshi.
Augusto avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Augusto lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gaeshi!
Augusto looking for a guillotine from mount but Gaeshi is having none of it.
Gaeshi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Augusto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gaeshi missing with punches from the bottom.
Gaeshi misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Gaeshi moves into full guard.
Augusto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gaeshi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gaeshi wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fernando Augusto dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gaeshi throws a head kick but Augusto moves out of range.
Augusto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gaeshi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Augusto somewhat.
A nice combination there by Gaeshi.
Gaeshi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Augusto regains full guard. Nicely done.
Augusto looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gaeshi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gaeshi trying to control but Augusto is working from the bottom.
Gaeshi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Augusto works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Augusto wants to sweep here but Gaeshi controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Augusto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Gaeshi wants to get back to his feet but Augusto is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Augusto passes Gaeshi's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Augusto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gaeshi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Augusto.
Gaeshi works his way to full guard. Good work.

Gaeshi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Augusto regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gaeshi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Augusto is working an open guard so Gaeshi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gaeshi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Augusto counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Augusto passes into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gaeshi pushes Augusto off, looking to escape but Augusto dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Gaeshi is forced to tap! The fight is over!
