Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kikkawa Kazukane (ranked 5087 p4p, 5915 weight class) and Alberto Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kikkawa Kazukane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alberto Perez!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazukane darts in looking for a takedown but Perez gets double underhooks and turns Kazukane into the cage.
Perez feints the counter takedown.

Kazukane wants the takedown. Perez is fighting it off but Kazukane persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Perez's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kazukane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kazukane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kazukane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kazukane really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez manages to get to full guard.

Kazukane controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Kazukane is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Perez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kazukane pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kazukane's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Perez has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kazukane escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kazukane!

Kazukane is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Kazukane is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Perez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Perez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kazukane pushes a forearm under Perez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Perez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kikkawa Kazukane!
After winning the bout, Kikkawa Kazukane thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
