The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rashan shoots in but Pattenson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pattenson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rashan wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Pattenson tries for a kimura but Rashan is defending well.

Pattenson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rashan keeps working.

Pattenson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Rashan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pattenson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Rashan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pattenson lets go of the hold and Rashan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
