Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nero La Croix (ranked 2320 p4p, 4683 weight class) and Jumpin Jahosafat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). La Croix is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jahosafat tries to close the distance and clinch but La Croix swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like La Croix was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
La Croix is breathing heavily.
Jahosafat shoots for a takedown but La Croix saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
La Croix changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Jahosafat closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jahosafat stands up and beckons La Croix to his feet.

La Croix gets caught flat footed, as Jahosafat shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
La Croix preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
La Croix wants to stand and escape but Jahosafat is having none of it.
Jahosafat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jahosafat is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jahosafat drops back looking for a leg! La Croix is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and La Croix manages to kick Jahosafat off! Jahosafat jumps back into La Croix's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
