Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Lennon (ranked 5315 p4p, 4281 weight class) and Nick Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Lennon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu catches Lennon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wu misses with a double jab

and Lennon counters with a single leg into guard. Wu didn't expect that.
Wu is trying to control the position but Lennon postures up.
Lennon content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lennon drops back looking for a leg! Wu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wu manages to kick Lennon off! Lennon jumps back into Wu's guard.

Lennon drops back looking for a leg! Wu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wu manages to kick Lennon off! Lennon jumps back into Wu's guard.

Lennon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Wu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lennon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lennon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lennon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lennon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wu for as long as he can get away with.

Lennon continues to stall.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lennon avoids the body shot from Wu.
Lennon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lennon there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wu lands a jab.
Wu falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lennon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Wu!

Lennon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lennon in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wu tries to buck Lennon off but Lennon is having none of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Lennon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Wu cracks Lennon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wu's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lennon under the eye.

Lennon is rocked!
Wu flashes Lennon a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Lennon's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Lennon crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Wu punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
