Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoel Moreno (ranked 3750 p4p, 3933 weight class) and Gary Ian (ranked 404 p4p, 412 weight class). Yoel Moreno has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoel Moreno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gary Ian!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ian tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Moreno defends well and Ian ends up having to push Moreno into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Moreno tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ian sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moreno somewhat.

Ian decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ian looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ian connects with a nice short shot to Moreno's temple.
Ian scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ian working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Moreno is rocked!
Ian has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ian lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Moreno quite badly. Moreno pulls Ian in close trying to recover. Ian postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Moreno on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Moreno doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gary Ian!
In defeat, Yoel Moreno stepped up to the mic, saying 'This is number one bullshit.'.
