The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Atchinson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tessmacher misses with the combination.
Atchinson throws a nice looking combination but Tessmacher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tessmacher connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Atchinson's hands.

Tessmacher has managed to clinch.

Tessmacher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Atchinson throws a hook but Tessmacher blocks it.
It looked like Tessmacher wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

The referee calls for Atchinson to work.

Atchinson tries to bum rush Tessmacher with a series of wild strikes but Tessmacher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Atchinson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tessmacher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tessmacher fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Atchinson on the side of the head.

Atchinson drives through and clinches with Tessmacher against the cage.
Tessmacher has had enough of the clinch but Atchinson keeps him there for the moment.

Tessmacher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Atchinson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tessmacher paws at him with a jab and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Atchinson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tessmacher scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Chesty Tessmacher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tessmacher tries to clinch but Atchinson is having none of it.

Atchinson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tessmacher. Tessmacher obviously looking to wear him down.
Tessmacher walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Atchinson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Tessmacher swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Atchinson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
