Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mateo Sierrra (ranked 2201 p4p, 2376 weight class) and Aziz Mehamedov (ranked 193 p4p, 211 weight class). Aziz Mehamedov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sierrra tries to clinch up but Mehamedov circles away and keeps his distance.

Mehamedov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mehamedov is nestled in close to Sierrra, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sierrra on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sierrra tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
It looks like Mehamedov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sierrra knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mehamedov on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee asks Mehamedov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mehamedov prefers to stall for the moment though.
