Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Andary (ranked 2042 p4p, 838 weight class) and CC Chai (ranked 252 p4p, 118 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as CC Chai enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Andary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, CC Chai!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andary throws a shot from downtown. Chai moves away and avoids it.
Andary swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Chai to counter with a crisp jab.
Andary shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chai misses with a body shot.
Andary fails to land the takedown.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chai has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Andary shoots and misses

Andary throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Andary needs to keep his hands up - Chai had a free shot at his head there.

Andary tries to clinch up but Chai circles away and keeps his distance.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Andary swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Andary's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chai under the eye.

and Chai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chai tries to clinch but Andary moves out of range.

Chai drives through and clinches with Andary against the cage.

Chai blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Andary tries to throw a body punch but Chai avoids it by throwing Andary back against the cage.
Chai works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Chai struggles to land a body shot inside as Andary controls his hands.
Chai lands with a right to the head.

Andary breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chai has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Andary throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Chai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Andary.
Andary tries a head kick but it misses.
Chai misses with a looping right.
Chai throws a jab when Andary was well out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Andary.
Andary is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Chai's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Andary throws a right and a left that Chai avoids nicely.
Chai lands with a good body shot.
Gary Andary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Andary sizes up Chai with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Chai misses the shot to the body.
Chai fails with an attempt to clinch.

Andary is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chai gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Andary looking to throw knees to the head but Chai is blocking nicely.
Andary is pushing Chai up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Chai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Andary tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Andary drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Chai gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Andary blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chai.
Chai lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Andary decides to pull guard.
Chai wants to pass the guard but Andary is keeping the position.

Andary can't keep his opponent in guard - Chai advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Chai seems to be looking for submissions.
Andary is refusing to be controlled, as Chai sits in half guard.
Chai passes to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andary prevents Chai from moving into mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chai is still trying to improve position.

Chai is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Andary looks calm but he's in trouble here. Chai gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Andary is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Chai lets go of the hold and Andary can pop his arm back in it's socket.
