Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Marco Salamanca (ranked 21424 p4p, 2456 weight class) and Bruce Chang (ranked 583 p4p, 320 weight class). Salamanca's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Superstar Cypress Hill. Chang has chosen Kung Fu Fighting ft. Fatboy Slim as his entrance music. Marco Salamanca had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 10 - 3, fighting out of Sydney, Marco Salamanca!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Chang!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Salamanca, as that shot connected.
Chang lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A clash of legs there as Salamanca blocks the low kick.
Salamanca turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Salamanca lands a right hook to the body.
A big left from Salamanca misses.
Salamanca throws a head kick but Chang moves out of range.
Chang walks into a jab.
Chang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Salamanca manages to avoid it.
Chang on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Chang misses with a low kick.
Salamanca looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Salamanca doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

We've been informed that Chang has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Salamanca here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bruce Chang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chang takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Salamanca takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Salamanca scores with a hook to the body. Chang takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Salamanca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chang can do to turn this around?

Chang staggers Salamanca with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Salamanca looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

It looks like Marco Salamanca has been cut.

Oh Salamanca is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chang circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Salamanca tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Chang wins by KO!
