Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryk Anders (ranked 5102 p4p, 4825 weight class) and Leonard Howell (ranked 238 p4p, 214 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Anders might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howell keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Leonard Howell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Anders moves out of range of the leg kick from Howell.
Anders lands a nice leg kick that just misses Howell's sensitive parts.
Howell blocks a low kick nicely.
Howell throws a quick inside leg kick.
Howell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Anders tries to score with a low kick but Howell moves his leg out of the way.

Anders tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Howell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Howell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Howell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Howell changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Howell shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Anders napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Anders is looking for a sweep.

Howell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Howell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anders, who protects the arm well.
Anders tries to buck Howell off but Howell is having none of it.
Anders is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Howell's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Leonard Howell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anders is looking to improve his position.

Howell content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Anders manages to get to full guard.

Anders escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Howell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Anders wants to sweep but no luck.

Howell drops back looking for a leg! Anders is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Anders manages to kick Howell off! Howell jumps back into Anders's guard.

Anders escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Howell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Anders had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Howell defends it easily.
Anders controls Howell momentarily but Howell frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Leonard Howell.
I think Howell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ryk Anders spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm a competitor, and I know a lot of people say that, but I'm not going to give in or be intimidated by anybody!'.
