Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Meadows (ranked 4770 p4p, 5862 weight class) and Khazmat Whittaker (ranked 483 p4p, 532 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Khazmat Whittaker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meadows throws a quick inside leg kick.
Meadows jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Whittaker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Whittaker wants to clinch up but Meadows keeps it at a distance.
A telegraphed right hand from Meadows misses the target.
Nice straight punches there by Meadows. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Meadows.
Good exchange - Meadows coming out on top.
Whittaker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meadows is fending him off so far but Whittaker persists. Nope, Meadows circles away and we're back to standing.
Whittaker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Donk. Meadows catches Whittaker right on the button with a cross.
Whittaker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Meadows lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A left and a right from Meadows both land. Nice combination.
Whittaker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Meadows lands with a nice body punch.
Meadows is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Meadows misses with a two punch combination.
Whittaker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Meadows has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Meadows scores with a jab. Whittaker acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Whittaker takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Whittaker walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Whittaker is holding his hands too far apart here. Meadows throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Whittaker is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
