The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spooner misses with a double jab
and Dahlgren counters with a nice uppercut.
Spooner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice defenses there by Dahlgren.
Spooner has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dahlgren lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Spooner at a distance.
Dahlgren moves out of range as Spooner strikes.
Junior Spooner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dahlgren counters with a crisp one two that drops Spooner! Dahlgren thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Spooner to his feet! Spooner is in big trouble!
