Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zanzibar Lee!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suchet has his takedown stuffed
and Lee counters with a nice body kick.
Suchet misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lee has Suchet up against the cage in a clinch.
Suchet throws a punch but it's blocked by Lee.
Suchet is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lee pushes Suchet back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Lee tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Suchet just stands there and leans against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Suchet jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Suchet gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Suchet tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lee with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Oh Suchet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Suchet has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lee after a bit of a struggle.
Suchet seems to have got his legs back now.

Suchet manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Suchet is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.

Suchet passes to full mount!

Suchet has control of Lee's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lee regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Suchet connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Suchet landing strikes from the mount and Lee is in trouble!
The referee warns Lee that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee is trying to escape the mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Suchet sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Suchet is landing with some decent strikes but Lee is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lee misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Suchet, who protects the arm well.
Suchet sneaks back into half guard.
Suchet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suchet is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lee's back!

Suchet is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Lee taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Suchet.
