Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Chen (ranked 5924 p4p, 4263 weight class) and Hugh Jackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackman's choice of entrance music: Shook Ones, Pt.II. Chen has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Anthony Chen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Jackman!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen is looking to clinch.
Chen stuffs the takedown.
Jackman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jackman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Chen has one foot on Jackman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chen throws a leg kick but Jackman sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jackman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Chen defends it well.

Jackman swings around for an armbar but Chen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jackman's guard.
Jackman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jackman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Chen won't allow Jackman to sweep him here.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jackman holds on and takes a little breather.
Jackman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Chen is fighting to break Jackman's control of his arms but Jackman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jackman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chen is fending him off so far but Jackman persists. Nope, Chen circles away and we're back to standing.
Chen closes the distance and clinches up with Jackman, looking for a takedown. Chen pushes Jackman against the cage but Jackman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jackman shoots in but Chen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jackman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chen sprawls well. Chen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackman gets slowly back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackman wants to control from the top but Chen keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jackman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jackman, into his guard.
Jackman doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that's the end of the fight!
