PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski has chosen Six Feet Deep by Six Ft Ditch as his entrance music. Frank Kowalski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Kowalski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kowalski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Ross feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kowalski wants to get back to his feet but Ross is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kowalski keeping full guard, as Ross tries to pass.
Ross trying to control the position from guard on top but Kowalski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kowalski wants to get back to his feet but Ross passes into half guard.
Kowalski pushes Ross off looking to stand but Ross dives back in and keeps control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch but Ross swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kowalski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Ross shoots in and bounces Kowalski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kowalski looks gassed!
Kowalski wants to stand up but Ross is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross content to stall in guard here.
Ross landing with the ground and pound.
Ross trying to control the position from guard on top but Kowalski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ross stops Kowalski from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ross advances position into side control!

Ross has hold of Kowalski's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kowalski tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ross cranks the arm and Kowalski screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kowalski, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Bob Ross!
