Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Carter (ranked 3449 p4p, 6036 weight class) and Sand Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sand Storm is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Sand Storm!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carter.
Storm throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sloppy strikes from Carter. Those never looked like landing.
Carter throws a head kick but Storm moves out of range.
Storm misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Storm is defended easily by Carter.
The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Sand Storm has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Storm tries to clinch but Carter moves out of range.
Carter looks to land a combination but Storm avoids it well.
Despite the aggression on Storm's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Storm shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carter as he avoids it easily.
Sam Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sand Storm.
Carter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
An inside leg kick from Carter misses.
Storm darts in trying to clinch
and Carter counters with a series of strikes. Storm will be more careful next time no doubt.
Carter fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Storm drops his hands momentarily and Carter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Storm's shoulder, as Storm tries to avoid the shot.
Carter sets himself, and Storm steps forward looking for the clinch! Carter avoids it this time.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Storm misses with a head kick.
Carter looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Carter Throws a clean left jab. Carter Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Storm's chin! Storm crumbles to the ground and Carter follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Carter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sam Carter!
During a confident post fight interview, Sam Carter thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
