Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between WatchingFrom TheNoseBleeds (ranked 1691 p4p, 1656 weight class) and Author Fonzarelli (ranked 201 p4p, 198 weight class). WatchingFrom TheNoseBleeds had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fonzarelli dives in and scores a takedown into TheNoseBleeds's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fonzarelli working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from TheNoseBleeds enables Fonzarelli to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. TheNoseBleeds manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

TheNoseBleeds escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fonzarelli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
TheNoseBleeds is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

TheNoseBleeds tries to stand and escape but Fonzarelli is controlling the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. TheNoseBleeds connects with a nice short shot to Fonzarelli's temple.
Fonzarelli is looking to control TheNoseBleeds's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fonzarelli avoid being mounted?
TheNoseBleeds tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

TheNoseBleeds thows a huge punch but Fonzarelli dodges it nicely.
TheNoseBleeds is nestled in close to Fonzarelli, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
TheNoseBleeds seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
TheNoseBleeds trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
TheNoseBleeds is keen to just control but Fonzarelli is a slippery customer.

WatchingFrom TheNoseBleeds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Author Fonzarelli.

Fonzarelli looks up at the clock and then as TheNoseBleeds takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fonzarelli smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

TheNoseBleeds is bucking up trying to escape but Fonzarelli cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fonzarelli lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Fonzarelli looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks TheNoseBleeds with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fonzarelli lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt TheNoseBleeds quite badly. TheNoseBleeds pulls Fonzarelli in close trying to recover. Fonzarelli postures up and lands two really hard shots that put TheNoseBleeds on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but TheNoseBleeds doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
