Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Irons (ranked 3513 p4p, 24888 weight class) and David Lucifer (ranked 402 p4p, 555 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irons avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It looked like Irons wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Irons clinches up against the cage.
Irons lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lucifer backwards.
Lucifer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lucifer has had enough of the clinch but Irons keeps him there for the moment.
A head punch on the inside from Lucifer fails to land.
Lucifer misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Irons.

Lucifer is looking to break free of the clinch but Irons has double underhooks.
Irons lands a body punch in the clinch.

Irons pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Irons throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed right hand from Lucifer misses the target.
Lucifer misses with an uppercut.
Irons takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Irons defending well as Lucifer loads up on a big left hand.
David Lucifer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Irons gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Irons uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lucifer.

Irons takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Lucifer throws a lazy right hand but Irons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Irons is holding his hands too far apart here. Lucifer throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Irons is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
