Escovedo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is heart attack and vine,screaming jay hawkins. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker dodges the punch combination from Escovedo.
Baker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Escovedo swivels and escapes.
Escovedo misses the shot to the body.
Escovedo scores with the left hand. Baker knows he should have avoided that one.
Escovedo cracks Baker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Baker staying out of range there.
Escovedo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Baker fails with a takedown attempt.
Escovedo dips to his left and cracks Baker with an uppercut!
Baker takes one to the side of the head.
A jab from Escovedo finds it's way through Baker's defenses.

It looks like Fred Baker has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Baker.
Alonso Escovedo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Baker.
Baker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Baker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Escovedo throws a series of punches but Baker moves out of range.
Escovedo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Baker's hands.
Alonso Escovedo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Escovedo misses with a hook. Baker ducked under it nicely.
Baker takes one to the chin there.
Baker on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Baker is rocked!
Escovedo is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Baker hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
