Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Radu Dracul (ranked 24 p4p, 197 weight class) and Anthony Ochoa (ranked 4 p4p, 35 weight class). Ochoa has chosen Gang Signs by The Game as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Radu Dracul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Ochoa!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Ochoa's jab looks to have found its range, popping Dracul under the eye.
Ochoa misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dracul uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ochoa.
Dracul appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've been hearing reports that Dracul has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Dracul shoots in for a double leg but Ochoa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dracul fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ochoa avoids it really well and circles away.
Ochoa has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dracul half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Ochoa throws the kick towards the body but Dracul avoids it.

and Dracul takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Dracul shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ochoa but Ochoa pushes him off and we're back to square one.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ochoa throws a wild body kick that Dracul sees coming a mile off.
Ochoa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dracul.

and Ochoa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dracul shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ochoa as he jumps to the side.
A nice side step and Ochoa releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ochoa leaves Dracul with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dracul moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromOchoa.

Ochoa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ochoa stuffs the takedown attempt from Dracul. Dracul gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dracul takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ochoa connects with a body shot that sends Dracul's belly button to the back.

Dracul fails with a takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ochoa! But no joy.
Dracul shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A little jabbing left from Ochoa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ochoa misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ochoa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dracul.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ochoa digs a good body shot into Dracul's ribs.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Ochoa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dracul has his takedown stuffed
and Ochoa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dracul moves out of range as Ochoa throws a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dracul changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

A lazy body kick from Ochoa

and Dracul counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ochoa!

Dracul is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ochoa has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ochoa avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dracul.

Dracul is trying to get an arm triangle but Ochoa is defending well.
Ochoa can't do much from the bottom here.

Dracul is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ochoa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ochoa can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
