Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Crenshaw (ranked 1078 p4p, 976 weight class) and Grey Ape (ranked 151 p4p, 138 weight class). Crenshaw comes to the cage accompanied by Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Crenshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Grey Ape!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Ape misses its intended target.
Crenshaw seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Crenshaw misses with a shot to the body
and Crenshaw takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Crenshaw steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ape.
Crenshaw quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Ape misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crenshaw went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ape throws a nice head kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ape tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A looping hook to the body misses from Crenshaw. Ape does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Ape! Crenshaw is out on his feet! Ape rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Crenshaw is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Crenshaw is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grey Ape!
