Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slam misses with a left hand
and Amir makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Slam jabs Amir right on the nose. Amir blinks but takes it well.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Slam, as that shot connected.

It looks like Ali Amir has been cut.
Amir is looking to slow Slam down with leg kicks.
Amir scores with a leg kick.
Amir stuns Slam with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Slam throws a hook but Amir avoids it easily.
Slam thuds his right hand into Amir's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've been informed that Slam has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Amir misses with a straight left.
Slam is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Ben Slam has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Amir lands a nice shot to the body.
Slam swings widly with a right hand
and Amir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Amir swings for the body but Slam moves out of range.
The fighters circling - Amir throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Slam let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Slam misses with a jab to the body
and Amir counters with a left to the body.
Slam just misses with a punch to the body.
As Slam tries to get set, Amir tries to push him back and clinch up but Slam manages to avoid the attempt.

and Amir counters with a nice low kick that buckles Slam's knee momentarily.
Slam looks winded!
Slam throws an off balance right hand
and Amir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slam walks into a left hand.
Slam buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Slam tries to land a front kick but Amir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Amir misses the jab.
Slam waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Amir.
Amir is looking to clinch but Slam is avoiding it.
Amir slips under a jab from Slam.
Slam thuds a left hand into Amir's body.
Decent striking displayed by Slam there.
Slam throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Amir makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slam steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Amir. That one must have hurt.

A nice leg kick lands there from Amir.
Amir scores with a jab to the body.
Slam swings widly with a right hand
and Amir counters with a low kick, right behind Slam 's knee.

That has opened up Ben Slam's cut even more.
Slam tries a head kick but it misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Amir misses the target.
Amir has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gunner's School of Combat in the buildup to the fight.

Amir clinches up with Slam and pushes him back against the cage.
Slam wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Amir has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Slam's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Slam is trying to push Amir away but Amir has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Amir pulls Slam into guard.
Slam postures up.

Slam is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Amir has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Slam is looking to defend but Amir has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Slam! Amir pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Slam taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ali Amir!
