Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spider Monkey (ranked 957 p4p, 1389 weight class) and Chris Coryatt (ranked 128 p4p, 191 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Coryatt's choice of entrance music: Slim Thug - Welcome 2 Houston. Spider Monkey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spider Monkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Coryatt!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Coryatt.
Monkey with the inside leg kick.
Monkey just misses with a punch to the body.
Coryatt looks to land a left hand but Monkey moved out of range nicely.
Monkey avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Coryatt throws a low kick but Monkey avoids it.
Coryatt looks to score with a jab to the body but Monkey is just out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Monkey lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Coryatt has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Coryatt and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Coryatt loads up on a big right hand but Monkey slips the punch.
Coryatt's coach down at Tycoon Coaching & Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Coryatt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Chris Coryatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monkey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Coryatt. That did some damage!
Coryatt connects with an inside leg kick.
Monkey checks the leg kick.
Coryatt lands a head kick!
Coryatt throws a series of punches but Monkey avoids them all with ease.
Monkey takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Monkey moves away from the strike by Coryatt.
Monkey throws a lazy right hand but Coryatt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Monkey cracks Coryatt with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Coryatt looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Monkey finish him?
Coryatt is rocked!
It looks like Chris Coryatt has been cut.
Coryatt blocks the body kick.
Coryatt is still on wobbly legs! Can Monkey finish him?
Coryatt scoring well with a low kick there.
Monkey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Monkey lands with a shot to the body.
Monkey lands an uppercut, right on the button! Coryatt tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Spider Monkey!
A very excited looking Spider Monkey made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
