Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikey Marciano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Grey Ape!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marciano throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ape.
Ape misses with a hook
enabling Marciano to counter with a crisp jab.
Marciano looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ape throws a sloppy head kick and Marciano moves out of range easily.
Marciano is looking to counter with head kicks.
Marciano throws out a loose jab but Ape uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ape checks a leg kick.

It looks like Grey Ape has been cut.
Ape has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ape throws a lazy head kick
and Ape takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ape will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Marciano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ape was well out of range. Poor timing from Marciano.
Ape throws a big counter head kick but Marciano avoids it with no problem.

Ape is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Marciano walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Ape cracks Marciano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
