The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride misses the shot to the body.

McBride uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dugre has time to react.

McBride tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dugre smiles and moves away.

Dugre trying to control the position but instead, McBride has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dugre into the cage.

Dugre ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dugre no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McBride wants to pass the guard but Dugre is keeping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McBride passes Dugre's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian McBride will probably get the nod.

Dugre has McBride pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dugre pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McBride tumbling to the mat - Dugre dives into McBride's guard.
McBride manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

McBride is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dugre can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dugre looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by McBride! Submission of the night perhaps?
