Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hudson Clarkson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Davis!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis gets caught napping as Clarkson dives in and scores a takedown. Davis manages to retain guard.
Clarkson wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.
Davis working a defensive guard but Clarkson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Davis prevents Clarkson from moving into mount.
Davis wants to control but Clarkson postures up.
Clarkson takes a little break here. Davis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Clarkson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clarkson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Clarkson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Davis has escaped the position, nice work there.
Clarkson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Clarkson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davis for as long as he can get away with.
Clarkson has hold of Davis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Davis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Clarkson is persistently looking for the submission but Davis is defending it well.
Davis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Clarkson gets his way!

Clarkson has gone for a leg lock! Davis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Clarkson's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A telegraphed right hand from Davis misses the target.
Clarkson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Davis can do to turn this around?

Clarkson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davis as he jumps to the side.
Davis throws a jab but it's blocked by Clarkson.

Clarkson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Davis regains guard immediately.

Davis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Davis felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Clarkson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Davis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Clarkson.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Davis moves in looking to clinch but Clarkson pushes him off.
Hudson Clarkson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clarkson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Davis pushes Clarkson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Davis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Clarkson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Clarkson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Davis is trying to defend but Clarkson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Clarkson is trying for a kimura here. Davis looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Clarkson wins by kimura!
