Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Sterling (ranked 988 p4p, 851 weight class) and Philip Marcus (ranked 93 p4p, 76 weight class). Sterling kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Snake by Lil Keed. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Sterling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philip Marcus!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sterling with a lazy takedown attempt
and Marcus counters with a three punch combo that has Sterling backing up. Sterling nods at Marcus to acknowledge the strikes.
Sterling tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Marcus defends well and Sterling ends up having to push Marcus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Marcus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sterling has his takedown stuffed
and Marcus counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adrian Sterling. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sterling shoots in for a takedown but Marcus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sterling or perhaps it was just good defense by Marcus, which made it look bad.
Marcus throws out a counter right but Sterling avoids it with no problem.
Sterling looks to land a left hand but Marcus moved out of range nicely.
A low kick from Sterling is predictable there
and Marcus counters with an outside leg kick.
Sterling shoots in but no luck this time.
Sterling with a poor takedown
and Marcus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Adrian Sterling has been cut.
Sterling with a lazy takedown attempt
and Marcus counters with a slapping leg kick.
Sterling closes the distance and clinches up with Marcus, looking for a takedown. Sterling pushes Marcus against the cage but Marcus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marcus gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sterling to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sterling loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Marcus manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Marcus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sterling.
Sterling misses with a takedown
and Marcus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sterling with a lazy takedown attempt
and Marcus counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sterling is rocked!
Sterling fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Marcus looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Oh Sterling is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sterling doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Marcus rattles Sterling with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Sterling tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Marcus dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Sterling stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Philip Marcus!
Philip Marcus decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
