The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermott misses with a wild body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for McDermott.
McDermott connects with a nice looking jab.
Mansour gets cracked there but stands up to it.
McDermott falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mansour connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mansour swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mansour feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McDermotts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McDermott misses with an uppercut. Mansour saw that one coming.
McDermott misses with a hook. Mansour ducked under it nicely.

McDermott looks to throw the jab but Mansour is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mansour. McDermott does a little dance to reset his feet.
McDermott looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Mansour looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Mansour throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mansour tries to close the distance and clinch but McDermott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McDermott takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
McDermott throws a chopping leg kick but Mansour manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

McDermott misses with a head kick.
Mansour does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McDermott throws a jab but it's blocked by Mansour.
Mansour tries to clinch but McDermott is having none of it.
McDermott looks to land a right hand but Mansour moved out of range.
McDermott throws out a loose jab but Mansour uses good head movement to avoid it.
McDermott looks to land a left hand but Mansour moved out of range nicely.
McDermott throws the kick towards the body but Mansour avoids it.
McDermott scores with a jab to the jaw.
McDermott fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
McDermott takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McDermott comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McDermott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mansour throws a front kick that sends McDermott stumbling back into the cage.
McDermott looks winded!

Mansour fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mansour moves into the clinch.
McDermott prevents a body shot from Mansour.
Mansour lands with a short shot to the head.
McDermott with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
McDermott has a couple of punches blocked by Mansour.
McDermott tries a knee to the head but Mansour blocks it.
Mansour scores with a shoulder strike.
Mansour cracks McDermott with a nice body shot.
Mansour pushes McDermott back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mansour scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Mansour stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

McDermott is rocked!

Mansour drops McDermott onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! McDermott is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

McDermott is still on wobbly legs! Can Mansour finish him?
McDermott throws a right hand that Mansour ducks under and follows up with a left that Mansour also avoids with ease.
McDermott seems to have recovered his senses.
Mansour throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mansour throws the kick towards the body but McDermott avoids it.

and Mansour counters with a big right hand! Oh McDermott is in trouble here! Mansour follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
