Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Evan MacMillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uncle Abner!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Abner misses
and MacMillan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A shot to the body from Abner misses

and MacMillan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Abner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Abner works his way to full guard. Good work.

Abner looking for a guillotine here but MacMillan defends easily.
MacMillan trying to control the position from guard on top but Abner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Abner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MacMillan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abner is looking to stand up but MacMillan isn't so interested in that idea.
MacMillan tries to free his leg and advance position but Abner is retaining full guard.
MacMillan slips nicely into half guard.

MacMillan seems to be working for a kimura but Abner defends the submission attempt.

MacMillan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Abner looks like he's trying to stand up.
Abner regains full guard. Nicely done.
Abner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst MacMillan is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

MacMillan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Abner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Abner has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abner wants to get up but he can't break MacMillan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

MacMillan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Abner got a little sloppy there for a moment and MacMillan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Abner has managed to get both his arms back between MacMillan's legs - danger averted.
MacMillan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Abner has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing MacMillan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Abner is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - MacMillan pulls down on the head and he's put Abner to sleep! This one is all over!
