Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tory Hopkins (ranked 1100 p4p, 2132 weight class) and Sammy Beach (ranked 166 p4p, 280 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hopkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Last Time That I Checc'd by Nipsey Hussle & YG. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Beach looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hopkins has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Primal Concrete Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Beach doesn't manage to clinch there - Hopkins circles away.

Beach darts in trying to clinch
and Beach takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Beach tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hopkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hopkins is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Beach moves into range and clinches up with Hopkins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beach tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hopkins dodges an elbow strike from Beach.
Hopkins stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Beach just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hopkins's brow.
Hopkins misses with the head strike.
Hopkins creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hopkins dodges an elbow strike from Beach.
Beach lands with a short shot to the head.

Beach tries to work over Hopkins's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hopkins stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Beach misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hopkins lands an elbow just above Beach 's eye.

It looks like Sammy Beach has been cut.
Hopkins is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Beach is defending well for now.
