PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kian Kushiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Martyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kushiel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welsh National Anthem. Martyn has chosen Live For The Moment as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kushiel is looking to clinch.

Kushiel has picked Martyn up - he's going for a ride! Kushiel dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Martyn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kushiel walks away with a smile on his face. Martyn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Martyn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kushiel closes the distance and clinches.

Martyn has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kushiel is trying to keep an underhook but Martyn manages to get the takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kian Kushiel will probably get the nod.

Martyn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kushiel turns into him and now he's in Martyn's guard.

Kushiel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Martyn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kushiel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Martyn's back instead.

Kushiel is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kushiel gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kushiel gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kushiel apologises and we restart here on the feet.

I would just about give that final round to Thomas Martyn.
