Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Betoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Archangel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Betoli kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mario theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Betoli bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Archangel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Archangel is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Betoli tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Betoli has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Archangel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Betoli has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Archangel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Betoli.

Betoli had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Archangel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Betoli Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Archangel's back instead.
Archangel is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Betoli off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
